This map was created as a collaboration between GDOT and the University of Georgia Carl Vinson Institute of Government. I worked with Angela Wheeler, a cartographer, to create the map.

This map imagines Georgia as a 16th-17th century map with a touch of whimsy. Artistic license and liberties were taken; map elements are not exact recreations and may not be historically accurate. It was created as an exhibition map for the 2019 Georgia Department of Transportation's GIS Symposium.
